Too Much Sex

Chirp! It’s your smartphone with a text. The human brain gets a little surge of dopamine as you browse the text from that hot honey you met yesterday evening. Nice. She’s available tonight. There’s only 1 problem. You’d already planned to visit a movie with a female you’ve had two dates with. Night may be the score if the three-date rule continues to be intact This. Don’t worry. She can wait. An instant text to reschedule movie babe, and the most recent opportunity gets first place. As you send the rescheduling texts, you see a contact from your own college sweetheart who’s doing master’s-level work in London. She can wait, too. She has always. Right?
Thirty years back, this thought pattern could have only been within a lecherous Casanova with a cold heart. Today But, increasingly more men suffer from some sort of love attention deficit disorder (ADD) due primarily to technology’s capability to connect people with a good amount of sexual opportunity.
Not so ago long, people were probably to marry somebody who lived significantly less than five miles from their childhood home. Today, the planet is love’s oyster and new potential partners certainly are a mouse-click or an iPhone app away. It isn’t uncommon for a man to juggle text, hookup and emails relationships having an entire stable of women. And it’s really understandable. Most men are wired to spread their seed and therefore have a computerized response system whenever a new sexual opportunities arrive.
But there are a few relative side effects of the fun game of musical beds. Let’s assume that most guys also want to do what their seed-spreading impulse is designed for – to procreate – then how and when does a guy know when to settle down? And what if he makes the wrong choice? Could there be a hotter, kinder, smarter, wealthier girl who comes along after he heads down the aisle? In fact, those thoughts are the biggest danger of love ADD. It gets guys stuck and unable to make decisions. In female parlance, that means “make a commitment”
Of course, a guy could do what millions of other dudes do: Create a single mother. There are 14 million single mothers in America raising one out of every four children. And with women rising in economic power, why not leave the diaper duty to the chicks?
It is here where our hunter/gatherer biology is at odds with our modern lifestyle. Back when widespread seed-spreading evolved, groups of women were the backbone of the human culture. Powerful groups of “alloparents” – mommies, aunties, grannies, sisters and nieces – parented children together in encampments while most men were out obtaining valuable protein
But today, a single mother is much more isolated with little in the way of a support system. Plus, she works beyond your true home for most more time than her gatherer ancestors did. She is susceptible to poor mental and physical health also. Her children will develop illness Even, poor grades and exhibit high-risk behavior. Is that any real solution to let your genes flourish?
Our dependence on love is like our dependence on salt, fat and sugar. Inside our hunter/gatherer days Back, these trace nutrients were tricky to find so we developed a mammoth craving. Today fast-food restaurant owners capitalize on that craving by loading their foods with fat, salt and sugar. And that stuff is killing us. Our only hope would be to make an intellectual decision to moderate our intake and adhere to a healthy diet
