1. Have A Ring… EVEN THOUGH It’s ONLY A Placeholder Ring
I generally don’t write into things such as this, day but I must say i just proposed another, and I mean to see you I was a nervous wreck. Not because I feared she’d not accept, but because I would have to be sure I was doing everything right My biggest fear was acquiring the right ring, also it was needed by me to become surprise, therefore i couldn’t consult her (and let’s face it – you can’t propose devoid of a ring).
So what I determined to do was search for a jeweler who would i would like to design a ring with the decision another the ring regularly and let her design her individual following proposal (that has been no issue at the jewelers I talked to). In the end, she’s normally the one who has to utilize it every day, so that it should be one she loves really, particularly if you will definitely spend that type of money on it.
So, I chosen a fantastic stone and an excellent setting (I had a need to possess something worth proposing with, but I mainly wanted to have the money spent so she wouldn’t sell herself short worrying about spending excess amount when she visited have the ring she really wanted). THEREFORE I acquired the entire ring concept settled once, it turned out energy and time and energy to plan the proposal event. This strangely enough found me easier when compared to picking of the ring.
What I did so so was book a cabin in the mountains, where we stayed if we labeled ourselves as boyfriend/girlfriend (we booked the cabin together, but she thought we were going just to ski, once we did the very first time we stayed). I spoke with the owners of the cabin and got permission to come up the day before our initial reservation and set up for the proposal. My plan was to have multiple banners around the cabin saying things like “I love you,” “Please say yes,” etc., with the main one saying “Will you marry me” (of course) and with a multitude of pictures of us together surrounding the place and a few other different decorations to obtain the fairy tale effect. I also had T-shirts printed, one that said “I said yes” and one that said “She said yes” for after the proposal. But the whole kicker of the proposal was to have a song that I had written her when we first started dating to start playing when she opened the door to the cabin.
Well, the big day finally arrived, and everything went great. She said yes, of course, and she also really liked the idea of having the surprise of the proposal but being able to pick a ring together afterward (which we are waiting to be delivered now). So I feel that everything went great, and I hope that my story can help others who are having the same trouble that I did planning their adventure.
